Our Benimals capture how unique our interests and circumstances are, as well as the moments we’re safe to reunite with our true selves. Because with energy, life returns.
Categories
We have two types of illustrations. The first, our hero illustrations, are detailed and full of character.
We also have our spot illustrations which are less detailed, but still have bags of personality.
Personality Principles
When creating our illustrations we should stick to these personality principles to ensure whatever we create feels full of energy and life.
01 Show a little soul
Our illustrations are not cartoons. There’s a level of precision and sophistication that feels grown up while still feeling warm.
02 Show variety
We serve a community that has diverse interests and needs. We show that variety through clothing, props and the character that exudes from each animal.
03 Show diversity
Whether it’s disability, gender or life-stage, it’s important we capture a diverse range.
Usage
In imagery
We can incorporate our illustrations in our imagery to bring some personality. But we never over-do this by adding too many illustrations.
Highlight
We can also use our illustrations to describe or demonstrate some of Ben’s key features. Or we can simply use them to bring life into information-heavy text.
